If YOU or ANYBODY you know wants to learn how to FLY FISH, then this is the class to take.


Randy Weir and Earl Arnold teach a 3 week - Saturday class which starts on March 15th at Conejo Valley Adult Education in Thousand Oaks. The class is $185 + $15 for a paper class manual. Students will receive a PDF copy after the 1st class.

Introduction to Fly Fishing In just 3 weeks you will learn how to fly fish. 

The first session will include instruction on gear, knots, fly selection and fishing locations. The second session covers rigging your gear, casting techniques and learning to cast a fly. The final session will find you casting at Lake Casitas and watching a demonstration on nymph and dry fishing at a local stream.


Additional $10 parking fee.

We provide gear for the class or students may use their own.

Instructors: Randy Weir and Earl Arnold have over 60 years of fly-fishing experience and enjoy teaching others. Both instructors are members of Sespe Flyfishers, and Randy has been guiding on the streams of Ventura County since 1994. tightlinesguide.com

  • Saturday, March 15, 9:00am – 4:00pm (no gear needed for first session)
  • Saturday, March 22, 9:00am – 12:00pm 
    • The above two dates meet at CVAS, Rm 5
  • Saturday, March 29, 9:00am - 4:00pm Lake Casitas and local stream

Cost: $185 +$15 material fee to instructor for class manual.
