Sept 14th. Surf Fishing at Rincon County Park

Annual Sespe BBQ . Fishing starts at 9:00am to 12:00 noon. BBQ starts at 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Sign Up Sheet Available under the Events tab.  CLICK HERE to sign up! 

Oct. 11th  California Fly Fishing Open

Fly Fishing Tournament on the Kern River. Hosted by Southern Sierra Fly Fishers. Fishing starts at 7:00am to 2:00 pm. BBQ and festivities start at 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Sign Up Sheet.

January 2026 Snowbows on the Owens

Large Kamloop Rainbows head up the Owens River from Crowley Lake (also referred to as Crowley Steelhead). Hosted by Earl Arnold. 2-3 days of fishing. We might book a guide or fish without one. DIY reservations. Sign Up Sheet.

February 2026 Bishop Trout Rodeo

Fish the area streams of Bishop. Date to be decided. Teams compete in a light-hearted, fun time with both fly fishers and conventional anglers. Dinner and awards follow at the Tri-County Fairgrounds. Sign Up Sheet

March 2026 San Juan River

Fish the San Juan River below Navaho Dam in New Mexico. A bucket list destination for most fly fishers. Hosted by Eric Kramer. This trip is full with 14 members participating.

April 2026 Lee's Ferry  Arizona

Another bucket list destination for most fly fishers. Date has not been determined. Hosted by Earl Arnold. Fish the tailwaters of the Colorado river below Glen Canyon dam. Generally, a guide is required. Sign Up Sheet

May 19-21, 2026 Duck Valley Reservoirs

This one is hosted by the Bucket List guide, Rob Anderson. Back by popular demand, this trip is 3 full days of fishing and all meals are covered by Rob Anderson. Limited to 14 anglers. Tim Carpenter is organizing for Sespe. Sign Up Sheet

June 2026 Rogue River, OR

An annual excursion to Shady Cove, Oregon. We fish for Colorado Cutthroats, Steelhead, and King Salmon. Our guides are through the Fishin' Hole Fly Shop. 3 days of fishing. Great accommodations at the Edgewater Inn in Shady Cove. Limited to 14 anglers. Sign Up Sheet.

July 2026 Mammoth Lakes

Proposed trip to Mammoth Lakes. Fish the areas lakes and streams. A 3-day Friday thru Sunday with camping at McGee campground. Looking for a host. Sign Up Sheet.

August 2026 Fly Fish Iceland

6 full days of fishing the streams of Iceland with your host: Gylfi Kristjansson. Aug 4-10th. All lodging and meals are covered. Limit was 8 anglers and we are full. Eric Kramer is organizing this trip for Sespe.

September 2026 Lower Sacramento

3 Full days of fishing the Lower Sacramento with guides from The Fly Shop in Redding, CA.  Cost is $625 per day for 2 anglers. Looking for a member to host this one. Sign Up Sheet

October 2026  Crowley Lake 

Float Tube the North Arm of Crowley for trophy size Rainbows, Browns, and Cutthroats. Looking for a member to host this one. Sign Up Sheet.

November 2026  Lower Owens River 

Fish the Lower Owens river within the Wild Trout section for Browns and Rainbows. Flows will be low providing good wading and a strong hatch of PMD's. Looking for a member to host this trip. Sign Up Sheet.
